The Chosen Heiress

Our Vision

The Chosen Heiress was born out of a deep love for fashion and a desire to offer women a curated selection of apparel that combines elegance, comfort, and versatility. We believe that fashion should be an expression of one's self, and our collections are carefully curated to inspire confidence and highlight your individual beauty. Our vision is to also become the premier destination for trendy and sophisticated HBCU apparel, promoting and upholding the legacy and importance of Historically Black Colleges and Universities. In other words, it's time to revolutionize HBCU apparel. We strive to be a catalyst for change, inspiring individuals to embrace their HBCU affiliation and showcasing the rich history and culture associated with these esteemed institutions.  At The Chosen Heiress, we're more than just a women's clothing store – we're a celebration of style, individuality, and confidence. Our journey began with a simple vision: to empower women to look and feel their best, no matter the occasion.

Meet The Owner

Danielle Mangrum, born on December 23rd to Daniel and Sabrina Mangrum, is an accomplished individual with a diverse background. Graduating with honors from Spelman College after completing her education at Excellence Christian School in Upper Marlboro, Maryland, she embarked on a multifaceted career journey.

Initially serving as a dedicated middle school educator, Danielle honed her leadership and organizational skills before transitioning into a pivotal role as an operations manager at Amazon, where she excelled for two years.

Driven by a profound desire to realize her entrepreneurial ambitions, Danielle embarked on a courageous venture, leveraging her passion for fashion and her alma mater, Spelman College. This vision culminated in the establishment of The Chosen Heiress, a venture that serves as a platform to celebrate historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) and the broader diaspora community through the lens of fashion.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Danielle is an avid enthusiast of music, travel, dance, and fashion. Yet, at the core of her identity lies her unwavering faith as a devout follower of Jesus Christ, encapsulated by her favorite verse, Esther 4:14,  "and who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?"

Danielle Mangrum stands as a testament to the power of perseverance, faith, and the pursuit of one's passions in shaping a purpose-driven life."
